Intent – In Physical Education a child at New Delaval Primary School should:

 

  • Develop a knowledge and understanding of PE skills through a variety of activities 
  • Be willing to develop and practice skills in a range of activities alone, in groups and teams
  • Develop competence, confidence and understanding to succeed in a wide range of physical activities
  • Be physically active for sustained periods of time
  • Have the opportunity and be encouraged to engage in competitive sport and activities
  • Develop a knowledge and understanding of how to lead healthy and active lives

Meet the RESPECT Team
 
In EYFS, our pupils are introduced to these characteristics by getting to know the characters through a range of activities to help develop their own character. As pupils progress through New Delaval, we teach them which behavior traits match each characteristics and refer to these both within our Commando Joe's lessons and across our curriculum.
